=) All is well <3

OKAY! So we finally made it to Sri Lanka!! =) It is surely spectacular!!!! AMAZING!!After an over 20hour flight, we finally made it (after stopping at Manilla, then Singapore, then Jakarta....I'm pretty sure). I have completely lost track of time--all I know is that this life I'm livin is THE BEST. I have never experienced anything so amazing like this before and I love it! =)

Every morning we wake up to the sound of SO MANY BIRDS!!! There are birds that eat snails and have brown wings (they look like giant crows if you ask me!), there are red woodpeckers, lime-green woodpeckers, and chickens that scream and sound like they're dying. hahhahahah just kidding. =) I have also seen three gekkos, two were very small....the other was on our bedroom wall and it was about 4 inches long!!! =)OH!! AND I SAW FIREFLIES FOR THE FIRST TIME! They're so cool! Little brown bugs with lightbulbs for bums! teeheehee =)

It's monsoon season here, so I'm looking forward to seeing the hot rain pour down from the sky! =) But in any case--the weather--I canNOT get over it! It's so HOT here!! I love it!! The palm trees are SO tall!! I found out which coconuts have milk in them, and which ones you have to scrape! There are mango trees, papaya trees, pomegranate trees....<3 There's this one tree, which I'll post a picture of later, that we cannot go under because there are too many leaves, and snakes that like to bite people and kill them with their venom live in them. Obviously I have already been scared out of going under this tree. =D

We (my cousins and I) have been racing through the day playing cricket =) which I must say, I am not a pro (most definetley) but I am learning...haha. We love playing UNO and other card games...tag, soccer...we've practically been outside the whole time! =) They are also teaching me Sinhala words!! =) It's a lot of fun! =) hahahha When I get back, I'm sure I'll probably confuse my English with Sinhala for a little while. Aiyo! lol

For now, I've got to go. Tomorrow morning we'll be going on a day trip to the beach. =)

Fact: Sri Lankan tea is most DEFINITELY better than Canadian tea <3
